Year 5 - Session 2 - Week 3
🕺🏼SPIRIT WEEK🎉
One of our Discovery heroes, Lydia, planned an exciting week for our community. So, all week our heroes looked a bit different!
We hope you enjoy the many pictures from Spirit week! Heroes were visited by Ross Abraham of Fresh Fuel who shared his journey through the business world all the way up to opening a meal-prep business with his wife, Meghan.
As they work towards the Children’s Business Fair, heroes mastered the art of writing a sales pitch this week with the help of Mad Libs and Question prompts. They also continued toward the publishing step of their creative writing stories with Mr. Sean as they worked to finish with jaw-dropping conclusions.
In Civilization they moved toward learning about Apprenticeships in Colonial America and what it took to become a master in each trade. Heroes researched various trades and chose one to write facts about. Then they began work on a Help Wanted ad for the local newspaper of that time.
