Where does JOY

come from?

Week one proved to be the best yet! Discovery heroes skipped through the door Monday morning so excited to see one another again. 5 new spark heroes completed their goals and began their next chapter in their new studio.

Throughout the week, the learners experimented with different studio guardrails that would or would not become their contract of promises. From Joy Tag and SCOOT to skits and name racing, teambuilders were scattered throughout to build a positive culture and give the learners an opportunity to get to know one another.

Heroes love reading love letters full of encouragement and support on day one from their parents. We later discussed emotions and the heroes made super cute finger print emotion people!

Mrs. Madelyn introduced the Lip Dub song - “Joy” by For King and Country - on Wednesday and the heroes began their planning. We can’t wait to see the final product!

Our Studio Servicio Sorting Hat Ceremony (modeled after Harry Potter) is always a nail-biting ceremony where heroes are waiting to be chosen by random for their studio clean up jobs.

In our JOY shirts on Day 4, we traveled across the street to hang with the spark learners for lunch. They were so excited to see their role models. We can’t wait to have our new building ready and not have to cross a street anymore!
