Spark Blog Session 6 - Week 2 - Year 4

What Makes Soil Healthy for Plants to Grow?

What’s the Dirt on Dirt?

This week, the Spark agronomists learned about soil and what makes it able to support plant growth. The heroes received an urgent letter asking for their help in solving a major agricultural problem. After learning about the process of double cropping, the heroes had to take a stand and decide the best way to utilize field space to plant cotton and wheat. We also completed a soil exploration during which the heroes were able to dig into the soil and record their observations of what they saw, smelled, and felt.
